Swing gates are popular for various reasons. One being they require fewer repairs. Compared to slide gates, they have fewer moving parts. This decreases the risk of wear, tear and breakdowns. Swing gates are also quieter and more pleasing to the eye. they glide rather than travel through an extended track.
3. Assess the drawbacks.
We love swing gates, we really do. But as with all gate types, you’ll run into some cons. If you live in an area with high wind (usually in the plains area), we wouldn’t recommend a swing gate. High wind can keep your gate from closing which causes the engine to burn up while attempting to shut.
